Happy Monday!
This week has been good! The transfer is now over.
And it was by far the craziest transfer I have ever had!! I am staying
in Sierra Highlands for at least one more transfer :) So 6 months here. I
can't believe that it will have been that long!! Sister Kn. is
actually getting transfered. (she's only been here for six weeks!) AND
she'll be training!! That is so crazy to me because she hasn't even
finished her 12 weeks of training yet. She's only been on the mission
for 6 weeks!! she's a good missionary though. She'll do great! Sister
G. and I are staying here. And we'll still be in a trio. Our new
companion will be Sister V. I don't know too much about her other
than she's been out 1 or 2 transfers more than me. She and I will be the
sister training leaders together in this area. In the last seven weeks I
have had five companions!! That's not normal... But I'll do whatever I
need to.
I feel like the work in this area has been slowing
down, but whenever I step back and think about everything that is going
on, it is definitely progressing! It has come so far in the last 4
months! From no missionaries and no missionary work to 3 missionaries, 7
or so investigators, and many less active families trying to come back.
Stuff is happening.
So, I went on exchanges twice this week. It was
busy! I only spent four nights in my own bed. But I learn a lot from the
sisters I go on exchanges with and hopefully they are getting something
from it too. The first exchanged I did was in the westernmost part of
the mission. Chester California. It was a three hour drive but once we
got into the Sierra Nevadas it was beautiful. It felt like Colorado but
the trees were greener and the roadsigns were different. There were even
lakes and rivers. That's where Sister K. is serving. I was with two
sisters who have both been out less than 12 weeks but they were doing
amazing things out there. We talked to so many people that day and most
of them were investigators. :) I want to be better at talking to
everyone. That's something I have been working on for a while. You'd
think that it's easy for missionaries to just start talking about the
restoration at any given moment. But it's not. I'm still me and I still
have the same struggles as I did before. I even still struggle with
making phone calls. :p yep, still Lexi!
I hope everything is going well at home!! I love you all muchly :) :)
Have a fabulous day!!
