24 June 2013

This week was crazy. It has probably been the oddest week on the mission. We still have not gotten into a routine this transfer and we're already two weeks in. So 1/3 of the way through. It seems like everytime we are starting to get situated into all this newness, something strange happens to turn us all upside down!

As you know, I am serving as Sister Training Leader right now. A position that is still so new that most people don't even understand what it is. Mostly all it is is going on exchanges with the other sisters for training purposes. It was such a relief getting put with Sister B. as my ACTUAL companion for this instead of having two different companionships for the seperate parts of my work here.

So we just got settled into our trio and I loved it. Then President sprang another twist into our work...
Sister B. was needed in a struggling companionship. So, She is now in North Sparks (about 30 miles away) helping two sisters who were really struggling on their own (one is painfully shy and the other is not very confident in her English language abilities. And they were whitewashed/double-transferred into the area). But Sister B. is still my sister training leader companion. Just from a long ways away. Then we found out that we had two  more companionships of sisters than we thought we had. And We already had 7! So that means we need to go on exchanges several times this transfer, amidst all of the craziness that has happened. Two of the companionships we are over are in Quincy... that's nearly three hours away... So. Everything is a bit crazy right now. But we're surviving.

Now I am training Sister Kn. But she is awesome.

This past week was really rough on lessons. We haven't really had the chance to sit down and do a lot of planning. And oddly a lot of our investigators all at once started pulling back. Right now we're going to be focusing most of our effort on a less active family.  The father is progressing all on his own in a lot of ways. For instance, he stopped drinking coffee entirely on his own. And he has been going to all three hours of church for quite a while now. This is definitely going to happen :)

The baptism was wonderful!! R. has made amazing progress and I am just so glad to be a part of it. :)

I feel like there is a lot more that I need to talk about but I don't remember..

Love you all!
