So what is going on in Colorado?! First it was on
fire, now it's flooding? Crazy things! has it at least cooled down a
little bit? Are you able to go out and enjoy the summer a little bit?
Hmmm... sorry for asking so many questions :p
It
was a good week here. But it also had it's fair share of stresses. Sister V. has been my saving grace through all the stress. She is super loving and understanding and I know that her advice and support has helped me Otherwise I'd probably really
be struggling to be patient. I
wish I could serve with Sister Verkist for another transfer but I think it's a high
likelihood that I will be transferred at the beginning of September.
After all, I've been in this area for 4 transfers. I feel like Ashley is
moving around every two!!
Things are going well with R.! We stopped by on
Friday and ended up staying for 2+ hours as we helped her around the
house and shared a message with her. I think helping her with the house
and cooking established more trust. I really want her to see that we
love her and that the gospel will help her more than anything else in
life will.
We also saw the less active family (the H. family) again this week.
(Remember, they're the family who is a lot like ours?) The dad wasn't there
so we were able to just talk with the mom for a while. Sister H. immediately told us of all the progress she
has seen the dad make and how much it means to her. It is slow, but there is
progress. Her
words and those thoughts confirmed to me that I could never give up on
them, So we're
going to keep going by once a week. Helping where we can and sharing a
spiritual message as we always do.
It's been a really good week! We really are seeing a lot of success. Two
investigators and seven Less actives were at church yesterday :) I know
that isn't the only sign of success, but it is one. And that is so
exciting!! We've also met lots of new people that we want to see again
and hopefully start teaching. :) Life is good and the mission is great!
I hope you're all doing well and know that I love you!
